Villa spacieuse, décorée avec goût et avec belle vue. L'équipement est complet. La villa est au calme (vous n'entendez que le vent). Le repas est préparé par Virginie en fonction de vos envies (à préciser la veille). Mariano s'occupe du jardin, de la piscine et des éventuels petits problèmes (comme une panne d'allumettes à 8h du soir ...). Nous avons fait de la plongée au Bouba Diving Centre (hotel Mourouk) : les fonds sont couverts de coraux de toutes les couleurs et de gorgones et la faune est vraiment abondante.

L'accès à la villa se fait par un chemin en terre d'environ 200m : 2x4 surélevé indispensable (4x4 s'il pleut pour les 50 derniers mètres).

Nous reviendrons (mais pour un plus long séjour !).

Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines dans cette charmante demeure, insolite par son point de vue et le côtoiement en toute discrétion des habitants de l'île.
Les services "d'hôtellerie" compris dans le prix de location (ménage, diner du soir préparé, entretien habitat-jardin-piscine), effectués par Virgine et Mariano sont irréprochables!
Solution idéale pour profiter à 100% de l'atmosphère de Rodrigues!
Nous y reviendrons c'est certain.

Villa Larmony is the perfect holiday house for a small family. The interior is small but the outside verandah is huge and very comfortably furnished- perfect for lounging on a hot afternoon. The pictures on the internet don’t do it justice. It’s in a quiet part of the island – no resorts and no big crowds. It has a good swimming beach and, at low tide, great rock pools for kids to explore. I would definitely go back to this house.

Nous sommes une famille de 3 personnes (une fille de 16 ans) et revenons de la villa Zaza à l'île Maurice où nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour de 2 semaines.
Nous avons été accueillis de manière très attentionnée par M. et Mme Tennant qui nous ont fait visiter les lieux. La villa est bien agencée, confortable, bien équipée et très agréable à vivre.
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié son calme et sa situation; nous avons eu le plaisir de prendre plusieurs fois notre petit déjeuner avec quelques cerfs descendus de la montagne comme voisins!
Les 2 femmes de ménage sont vraiment adorables et aux petits soins; nous avons d'ailleurs profité de leurs talents de cuisinières pour nous faire mitonner quelques plats typiquement mauriciens.
En résumé, d'excellentes vacances.
C'est une adresse que nous retenons pour un futur séjour!

We have returned form a wonderful stay in Mauritius at la Farniente. We are a family of six with three young adults and one adolescent. The house was a good size for this number and the residence was very well presented with a great swimming pool. The villa was very clean and beautifully decorated. There is internet access for those who cannot leave their work behind!
Mr Masson,the owner, has thought of everything for a restful holiday for any mother, with a daily cleaner and cook. They were both delightful and I think that this was better then staying in a hotel.
The villa is in a good position for activities, there is scuba diving at the Hibiscus Hotel on the way to Grande Baie -ORCA Dive Centre, which was very well organised. We were able to sail and windsurf and some of the family tried out kite-surfing.I would recommend car hire if you wish to visit other parts of the island.
The cook is great but do not forget to try out the street cooking, roti is great and well worth trying. We all ate plenty and were not ill.
When you leave take some food for the airport as food there it is not very good and as you would expect expensive.

Mr Masson kindly invited us to visit him and his family at another of his villas on the South Coast, which he is also going to let.
The Villa Riambel is situated in the small village of Riambel on the South coast.It has been carefully renovated under the owners’ supervision using salvaged stones from a former colonial house.
The villa is light and airy and the owner’s wife has very tastefully decorated the interior. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the terrace and sitting room look onto the garden and swimming pool.

From the garden there is access onto one of the quietest and unspoilt beaches on the island, with waves breaking over the reef, the water looks wonderful, but care should be taken when swimming here, as indicated by the signposts.

It is interesting to think that the next landfall from this beach is Antarctica!
The villa is restful and away from it all. It should provide a very tranquil holiday.

Villa les Trouloulous is very lovely , the service was excellent and the owner's did everything to make us feel really welcome.
The maid service was very good and we also enjoyed a delicious meal she cooked for us.
We had access to the most beautiful private beach on Mauritius. The beach is a dream with crystal clear blue water, excellent for swimming and absolutely private.
It was a pleasant trip !!!

We have spent two wonderful weeks in this house. The owner of the house is very friendly, he helped us in every situation. The house is beautiful and clean, also the furniture is wonderful. The garden is very nice, with banana and cocos trees. Just everything is perfect in this place. We would recommend this house to everyone ;)

Wir haben in dieser Villa wunderfolle 2 Wochen verbracht, der Hausbesitzer hat uns die ganze Zeit verwöhnt, die Bedienung war aufmerksam zu allen unseren Wünschen, das Haus ist super eingerichtet und ausgesprochen sauber. Die Umgebung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir können das Haus ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen.

We booked Le Pavillon from M Francis Masson for 2 weeks. The welcome was very pleasant, M Masson picked us up at the airport, although we arrived Sunday morning at 5.oo a.m. Le Pavillon is a most beautiful place, in a large garden and equipped with very exclusive and tasteful furniture. He invited us to visit his new house in the south which is almost ready after a complete reconstruction. This house in Riambel is marvellous, very big with 2 storeys, pool, huge garden, very nicely furnished with a lot of space and a direct access to the beach. We were much impressed of this place.
As his other house in Mahébourg was vacant at the time of our visit he offered us to stay there for some days which we gladly accepted. Also this house is a fantastic spot, right in the middle of Mahébourg with a nice terrace and garden, very close to the seaside. Moreover, we as his guests, had access to the most beautiful private beach on Mauritius. The beach is a dream with crystal clear blue water, excellent for swimming and absolutely private – we had to share the whole beach front of about 2 kilometers with maybe 5 other people…
As we had rented a car for the 2 weeks of our holiday we visited a lot of interesting places and could see all the high-lights of this beautiful island. M Masson gave us some useful information and recommendations for interesting places, restaurants, shops etc. For us it was an unforgettable journey and we will come back - some time – for sure!

Nous sommes une famille avec 2 enfants de 2 et 4 ans et venons de passer 2 semaines fantastiques à Maurice.
Nous avions réservé une semaine la villa Farniente et une autre semaine les Trouloulous.
La 1ère semaine dans la villa Farniente a été très agréable : la maison est dans un complexe au milieu d'une végétation luxuriante. La piscine est à 20 mètres et il faut 4 minutes à pieds pour accéder à la plage qui est vraiment très belle.
Le ménage est fait tous les jours (la lessive aussi... :) et les repas préparés par la cuisinière sont délicieux.
La maison est très fonctionnelle et joliment meublée : on se sent vite chez soi !
Les activités sont nombreuses autours de Grand Baie (au Nord de l'Ile).

La 2ème semaine, nous sommes allés aux Trouloulous (à Mahebourg au Sud de l'Ile).
Cette semaine a été encore plus chouette : maison également joliment meublée et fonctionnelle, au coeur de la ville, à 20 mètre de la mer.
Marietta est venue avec nous au marché pour faire les courses et nous a ensuite préparé d'excellents plats mauriciens.
José nous a apporté du poisson, de la langouste et nous a arrangé un tour en bateau (à Blue Bay : ne pas manquer le bateau à fonds de verre).

L'accueil de Francis Masson, le propriétaire des maisons, a été vraiment extremement chaleureux. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Nous le remercions vivement.
Nous espérons retourner un jour à Maurice et pour sûr retournerons à la Villa Farniente et aux Trouloulous.
